Which of our churches are open?

You may have seen that there was an announcement on June 10th about churches being able to open for supervised private prayer from 15th June.  Note that “being able” does not mean “must”; it’s dependent then on Diocesan guidance and Incumbent and Church Wardens’ decisions about whether they are able to comply with the guidelines about keeping a church Covid secure. Currently all our PCCs are considering whether it is safe to open our churches and which one(s) will open.

We are resuming services in some of our churches over the coming weeks - watch this space!

Alderminster Church will be open for Sunday services:

We will be holding a lay laid service in church at 10.30am on Sunday 26th July and then again on August 23rd.

Ettington Church will be open for Sunday services:

After weeks of separation, we can meet together again in one building for worship, starting this coming Sunday, 26th July at 10am.

It obviously won’t be quite like we were used to as signage, social distancing, hand sanitiser, masks, attractive visor for the officiant, new chair layout, no singing (humming is allowed apparently!), no communion and no refreshments are all thrown into the mix.  It sounds like quite a list but we are confident we have thought of everything so it will be smooth and sophisticated (you know us!) and will, God willing, still feel like worship.

So bring your mask and, on arrival at church, just follow the signs and the instructions of our ushers and join us for a simple lay led morning worship service. We will hold another service on the 4th Sunday in August, with audio services in between.  A review will take place mid August regarding September, when everything may look rather different anyway.

Butlers Marston Church will open as follows:

Sunday 9am – 7pm and Thursday 9am - 7pm

Pillerton Church will open as follows:

Sunday 2.30 – 4.30pm and Thursday 9.30 - 11.30am

Visitors are requested to be no more than three at any one time. There is hand gel available and all literature and books have been removed. The toilet will not be open. There are guidance signs displayed.

Halford Church will open as follows:

Tuesday 2.00 - 4.00pm.

Please enter by the North door and exit by the South. Follow notices. Access is limited to a defined section of the building.
Hand gel is available. Books and other literature are not available.

Newbold Church will not open for the foreseeable future
